A useful car detailing kit matches the surfaces you clean. Start with separate tools for paint, wheels, glass and the cabin; a large piece count is less useful than having the right material for each surface.

Compare brushes and towels first

The 26-piece detailing brush set provides multiple brush types. Select each brush by its intended surface; wire or stiff brushes are not automatically suitable for paint, delicate trim or screens. Drill-driven attachments also require care and should not be treated as safe on every finish.

The ShowroomFinish 12-pack microfiber cloths can help keep cloths separated by task. Read our microfiber towel guide for selection and care considerations. A clean towel and suitable cleaner matter more than using one cloth across every surface.

When a polisher belongs in the kit

The ProShine cordless dual-action polisher is an optional next step for an appropriate polishing task. It is not a substitute for washing, and owning one does not guarantee safe scratch removal. Confirm pad compatibility, battery contents and the process recommended for the finish before purchase.

A smaller kit for daily interior care

If your main problem is dust, crumbs or pet hair, begin with our interior cleaning kit checklist. You may need a vacuum and a few dedicated accessories rather than a full detailing setup.

Before ordering

List the surfaces and tasks you actually handle, check what is already in your kit and compare package contents. Choose a small set that covers those jobs, then add specialist equipment when the need and your experience justify it.
