I was skeptical but for the price worth a shot. My 2021 dodge charger front bumper cover had caught so many curbs and sidewalks backing out it was literally torn in two places. Just ugly, couple pieces of hard plastic bent out of shape hanging down in front. After a couple failed attempts to use got it figured out, it literally does weld/melt pieces together in a very controlled action. My bumper looks beautiful again. Highly recommend just to have on your shelf for when you might need it for the price.

Wish I knew about this tool sooner
Useful tool with a quick learning curve. Wish I knew about this tool sooner to help prolong the life of some of my past broken plastic parts. Works much better than expected. The metal staples heat up very quickly (seconds), so you need to be careful not to push the staple through the other side, like I did on my first attempt.I gave it a four-star only because the kit was missing the knife and the clear carrying case came cracked (QC issues). Amazon boxed it well, so it must had been cracked before it was shipped.

Works great and saved a $400 mower component first use.
Works great. I used this to save a John Deere mower plastic hood so first use it paid for itself almost 20X. The repair was hidden on the underside of the hood where the mounting bracket attaches. I further reinforced the repair with Plastix-27 repair kit. If used on an exposed surface the repair would be ugly and cutting/grinding the stitch staples would require a lot of care.

Love this plastic welder. It’s so easy to use.
Brilliant tool. Once I figured out that loading the staples would not burn me all went quick and easy. The little cutters work “ok” but you may want to use heavier duty if cutting a lot of staple tails.
