Good Ratchet for Moderate intensity
I bought this after doing a review of all of the available motorized ratchets, to assess which might meet the needs of a weekend auto mechanic (hence the first person). I’ve used everything from Black and Decker to Makita to Milwaukee to Husky tools, as well as Harbor Freight, all of which have their pro’s and con’s. After looking extensively and trying out some of the various options from friends and the stores, I settled on the Aoben, based on cost, durability, the two batteries, and the 2000 mAh ratings (as well as the various reviews out there). When I got the kit, I tested the amount of charge on one of the batteries, assuming they’d be close to one another. The other one I put on the charger to see how long it would take to charge. Battery 1 was able to get through an afternoon of wrenching, pulling out various bolts from from the engine and transmission of an air cooled vehicle. I’d say I used it all told about a half hour, dropping it twice when reaching for some tight areas under the hood. (I used it outside of the motorized aspect as well – it’s a ‘regular’ ratchet wrench as well). No issue with that. It still had charge, and when I put it on the charger it took about 35 minutes to fully charge. The smaller head was able to get into some cramped areas, which was greatly appreciated particularly when one can only ‘feel’ but not ‘see’ the nut. Battery 2 took about 48 minutes to charge (from red to green on the indicator), and the swap was fairly easy – it’s a bit tight for the batteries, but only took a modicum of pulling to get it out.The functionality was no issue with both the tool and the metric sockets that came with the kit. I was also usingmy old hex attachments which were longer, and I didn’t have any issues with those either. I did notice I scraped the plastic just above the battery when the tool got caught on the hood brace, but otherwise the two drops (from about waist height) didn’t seem to cause any issue.Of note this is made in China – like virtually all of the other motorized ratchet wrenches I looked at (Makita and Kimo being the exceptions). At least for a weekend mechanic, the Aoben works well for what I need it for, and potentially even more than that. It isn’t as heavy as some of the others, it’s well balanced, and as noted, it can fit into some tight areas which others might not be able to do so. Although I wish the finish was a bit better (that plastic scrape was my fault, though), I’m otherwise pleased with the tool, the batteries, and the sockets. It’s high value for the price.

Cordless ratchet
This is a good tool! Lacks a little torque but works good on not so tight bolts and nuts.

Decent value and quality
I have this brand’s car polisher and liked the quality so bought this to help speed up DIY repairs on my van and classic car. This looked like the most compact of all the battery operated offerings although it was the lowest voltage therefore offering a fairly low torque rating (40 ft lb). But it locks well so you can use it to manually loosen or tighten fasteners if the motor won’t. And BTW, this is not an “impact” style wrench. The only disappointment was the 12vdc batteries looked compatible (in the pictures) with my Bosch 12volts, but they are not.

Brand name function at a bargain price.
This ratchet works every bit as good as my Milwaukee at a fraction of the price. It comes with two batteries as well. It has good torque and the battery lasts a long time. The nice thing about having two batteries is I don’t have to wait for the battery to charge in order to use the ratchet. For the price I couldn’t pass it up and I am not disappointed with my choice.

For the price, very happy
I seldom need an electric ratchet. So I went with this inexpensive model. Very impressed. Works great, case is good, batteries come charged, and meets my needs. Using a regular socket wrench has always been good enough. However, working under a car it can be tiresome and banging knuckles sucks. This solved that. Still have to loosen bolts and torque things by hand, but this saved time. Only complaint is the instructions (not that you need any). They are written by someone learning English and don’t make much sense. The only thing you need from them is that green on battery charger is fully charged and red is charging.

Great for the price
It makes my life way easier, never regretted buying it, I’ve wanted on for so long and finally got the opportunity to get it. I would highly recommend itJust a tip for people who would buy it for DIY, remember it’s am electric ratchet not an impact gun so it would loosen the bolt you can break it with the tool itself then press the trigger and let that baby go.

Definitely worth the money!
I bought this AOBEN 3/8” 12V Cordless Electric Ratchet Wrench to help with my 6.6 Duramax turbo and emissions replacement, and I’m honestly impressed. It’s compact, well-balanced, and comes with everything you need including two batteries, charger, sockets, and a sturdy case. The ratchet feels durable, fits well in tight spaces, and the variable-speed trigger gives good control. Battery life is strong, and the LED light is a nice bonus for dark spots under the hood. The only drawback is the lower-end torque, it struggles to break loose tougher bolts. Once the fasteners are started, though, it zips them right off. It’s not a high-torque professional grade tool, but for what it costs, it punches way above its weight. Perfect for light to medium work, maintenance, or quick tear-downs. Overall I’m very pleased. 4.5 Stars.
